Catalina

Yesterday was Jake's 30th Birthday. We had a big weekend planned and had such a great time. A good friend of ours sent Jake & I to Catalina for the day on Saturday. It was such a wonderful & relaxing day! Its so strange going anywhere without the kids. Its funny how when we're with the kids, we are tired of the fighting & always say we need a day away, but when we are without them - we talk about them all day! It was so nice to have an entire day to just wander the streets of Catalina, no plans, no obligations - just a day for spur of the moments :) We really didn't do much, just enjoyed the scenery, walked throughout the neighborhoods and enjoyed a few good meals! It was so good to have a day with Jake - just holding his hand and enjoying his company. It was such a fun day! Thanks Ryan!!!

We loved this house - so we had to take a picture of it. There were so many fun homes in the area.

The only bummer of the day was the weather - the sun didn't come out once - so we put off our kayaking for another trip. Oh well at least it wasn't too hot!
